Natural Spirituality reinvents the role of spirituality and redefines its place in the modern world. This kind of knowledge makes an invaluable contribution to the depth and quality of your life. As with any religion, to perceive it’s meaning will require an investment of time. To comprehend its message you will need a willingness to expose yourself, to suspend your beliefs, to risk a flight of the imagination and so abandon the mundane.
We are not here to sell you anything. This is not a believe or burn kind of thing.
The ascetic lifestyle departs from conventional beliefs equating personal happiness with purchasing material possessions and consumption. This is a life style we choose, of our own free will. No one can tell you if an ascetic lifestye is right for you. No one can sell you on shaving your head, sitting naked and leaving evrything behind. It just doesn't work that way. The choice to live with integrity to your values is a deeply personal choice. All we are here to do is to inform that there is a modern path to do so.

- WHAT IS A RELIGIOUS ORDER?
- A religious order is a community of people who live set apart from society and lead a consecrated life based on their religious devotion. It's a group of people who dedicate their lives to a higher purpose. Most religions have religious orders - what are typically thought of as monks and nuns. Religious orders are defined as any group of men or women who publicly commit to religious vows like poverty, chastity, and obedience. They share a way of life, do specific work (like teaching or mission work), and follow the guidance of superiors, either appointed by the church or elected within the order. In our tradition, the Collective work is where the teachers of Natural Spirituality, the Bringers of Lore, come from.
- WHAT IS YOUR HIGHER PURPOSE?
- We are educators with a unique body of knowledge helping people build a foundation for the rest of their lives. The function of the Collective is to prepare initiates for all elements of service in the ministry of Natural Spirituality. The Mission of Natural Spirituality is education. To help "those who choose to" evolve from a primitive belief system to a modern spiritual mindset. Our duty is passing on knowledge to empower lives. In the Collective, we train newcomers for the mission of teaching Natural Spirituality - It's hard work requiring total commitment - for a goal this important, we only choose those that will make that sacrifice. Keeping out things like money or fame or recognition, an ascetic lifestyle maintains the purity of the mission. The whole point of our way is furthering human freedom. We can't think of anything more honorable than giving people that gift through education. Natural Spirituality was forged for the love of human liberty. We can think of no nobler purpose for a vowed life that education and human liberty. The evolution of man is a noble pursuit worthy of selfless sacrifice and our steadfast resolve.
- WHAT IS A VOWED LIFE?
- The ascetic lifestyle departs from conventional beliefs equating personal happiness with purchasing material possessions and consumption. It's a life long commitment. Choosing an ascetic life is a radical shift from the usual chase for happiness through stuff like shopping, dating, and owning things. It's like a lifelong marriage to a cause bigger than yourself. When you take this path, you're stepping away from typical life goals – no more dating, climbing the career ladder, or showing off a new car. Instead, you commit to a cause, abandoning everyday pursuits for a deeper calling. This commitment is about service, dedication to a special vocation, and living a life filled with purpose and conscience. It's not chasing after rewards in some far-off afterlife; it's about making real, meaningful contributions right now. It's a profound, personal choice to live true to your values, not tied down by material possessions or societal expectations.
- HOW DO I JOIN
- You don't join. You are chosen. This isn't a job. It's a calling. We do not accept applications, only commitments. The journey begins with an interview, followed by a rigorous background check. You'll embark on a 15-day course called Ethos. You will be asked to sit, naked, silently, for 10 days, clearing the mind. You then take a course to learn about Natural Spirituality. You can then see whether a modern sensibility about human spirituality suits you or not. This process is open to single individuals aged 21–42. There is a thorough physical examination, and you are required to be disease-free and in good health. Minors, 16 and older, can join with parental consent. Commitment is the only key to our doors.
- HOW DO I HAVE TO SHAVE MY HEAD AND GIVE UP SEX?
- YES. While religious vows differ according to traditions, most monastic traditions have the four basic religious vows; poverty, fidelity (chastity), obedience and sobriety. Sobriety basically means drug-free. Obedience means to obey and selflessly serve. Poverty means you work for the common good and give up the right to own property. Chastity means you abstain from romance and sex. Natural Spirituality is a religion. The Collective is a part of the monastic tradition of that religion. To join a collective you have to take the same kind of religious vows.Therefore, yes, it involves making significant lifestyle changes, including those related to personal relationships and physical appearance.
- WHAT HAPPENS IF I BREAK MY VOWS?
- Breaking religious vows can have profound and lasting effects on one’s cognition, akin to causing irreparable harm to oneself, much like physically injuring yourself. Whether viewed mythically in ancient religions (you go to hell) or practically as in Natural Spirituality, the consequences are still real and deeply painful. Living a vowed life is comparable to marriage; it's a commitment that should be entered into when fully ready and aware of its implications. Making such a decision hastily can lead to living with regret and feeling like 'damaged goods'. It's crucial to understand fully what you're giving up and choose wisely when the time is right.
- IS THIS A CULT?
- YES. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM JOINING A CULT THEN THIS WON'T WORK OUT FOR YOU. A monastary is by definition a cult so if you do not have an open mind you should not even think about this. The Collective is a religious community. Natural Spirituality is NOT a cult. Joining a Collective is a lifestyle choice. It doesn’t mean you are cutoff from the world. Qmystics are not cut off from those they love. Many of us spend at least part of our vacation each year with family and friends. Family are also welcome to visit the Collective during appropriate times. The Collective is a religious community and like any community there are rules. After your Candidacy, the Collective is your home you can come and go as you please. There are usually public areas for the use of guests. Our private areas are strictly off limits to outsiders.
- WHAT DOES A MYSTIC OF THE QUE DO?
- We learn and teach, ourselves first and others after. We don't sell granola. Our insight into The Living Force (think systems theory) lets us leverage our contributions in the fields of scientific research and development, medicine, education, computer science, managerial science and more. The Que Collective function is to serve as a seminary that means a school for the training of Mystics of the Que (Qmystics -nuns & priests). A Qmystic is person that takes religious vows and their objective in life is to learn, grow and to teach a body of knowledge called Natural Spirituality. A Qmystic vocation is mastering knowledge of The Living Force (think systems theory). Qmystics lead very productive lives furthering human evolution By living a vowed life they enjoy the mental, social and financial security of a unique economic structure that takes care of all of their personal needs while enabling the members to enjoy a fairly high quality of life. This commitment frees them of consumerism and those values that distract from the path. In doing so a Qmystic makes direct contribution to the lives of others, the Collective and ultimately all humanity.
- WHAT'S NEXT?
- While anyone can do Natural Spirituality being Que is not for everyone. The first step is a conversation with an Odigo (a guide). They can help you understand if a modern agnostic path is right for you. They are not there to sell you anything. There is no commission structure, no points, etc. An Odigo is a person who is just sharing their experience. You can speak to them online, at a coffee shop, by phone, however you are comfortable. No one can see past a choice they don't understand and so the first step is to understand the choice.
